After growing up in São Paulo, Brasil and a brief sojourn in snowy Toronto I now call sunny San Diego home 🙂 This blog is for discovering and sharing and evaluating both recipes and (mostly) local dining experiences. With recipes I try to mostly offer healthy but still tasty alternatives but every now and then some very much so not-healthy baking will make it on to the site.

I try to remember to lug around my Nikon D3100 but often find myself with just my handy albeit resolution-challenged Iphone 4 camera so you’ll have to forgive me for the variable camera quality. Hopefully AT&T will eventually release me from their two-year tyranny so I can buy a 5S but until then bear with me.

Hopefully you will find recipes you like for Healthy Peanut Butter & Jelly Smoothies, for decadent Bouchon’s Flan Tart or just find a tasty dish to order at Davanti Enoteca in Little Italy. Thanks for stopping by!

An out of kitchen experience that will leave you hungry for more

San Diego, CA – April 24, 2013 – Dine your way through North Park and taste what this eclectic neighborhood has to offer. Thoughtfully crafted restaurants grace just about every corner and “farm to table” is the pervasive theme. Dishcrawl – similar to Pubcrawl – yet more delicious – takes food lovers on a gourmet tour de force through the streets of North Park. Unite with your fellow foodies to experience for four very distinct restaurants and a meet and greet with the chefs to explore the inspiration behind each delectable dish. Come take part in this event on May 7th at 7pm. Tickets to the event are $45 and are available on the Dishcrawl website.

“What we love most about Dishcrawl is the exposure for new people who never had a chance to come and discover restaurants because they have been intimated or never heard about it,” says head chef of Moorocos restaurant in Mountain View, CA. “Dishcrawl opens a world of inexpensive opportunities to taste some of the finest food around.” There are so many different tastes out there that would never be sampled if it was not for Dishcrawl.

Dishcrawl is the ultimate dining experience, tasting a variety of new and unknown in company of fellow food lovers like yourself. Chefs and restaurant owners offer great selections heightening your culinary experience and creating a local discovery adventure right in your backyard.

Participating restaurants are kept secret until two days before the event, at which time the first location is revealed to ticket holders.
